2004 - 2005 San Diego Playbill
Fifth Annual "Billie" Awards!

Francis Gercke and Jessica John. Photo by Randy Rovang.Five years ago, I began reviewing plays for my new San Diego Playbill website. Four years ago, and 50 plays later, awards were announced to recognize some of the outstanding theatre work I had been privileged enough to see. Over this past year (and a couple months), more than 150 shows (excluding youth productions) have been reviewed. It was such a thrill to see so much fantastic theatre, but of course that just makes it that much more difficult to narrow down the award winners! Many, many thanks to all the winners as well as all the other artists who have made producing this little website such a fantastic experience for me over the past five years. Below is a complete list of this year's recipients.

On Monday, August 22, this year's San Diego Playbill Awards will be presented at the David and Dorothea Garfield Theatre at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center in La Jolla. If you are interested in attending the awards ceremony, please click here for more details and RSVP information. Everyone is invited!
