Cygnet opens a black-comedy that is SEARING!

Biederman and the Firebugs


Previews begin January 12 and 13. Opens January 14 through Februay 12. 

Biedermann and Firebugs, by Swiss playwright, Max Frisch, is a dark little comedy set in a town being regularly attacked by arsonists. A businessman named Biedermann reading a newspaper filled with reports of "firebugs" is convinced that he, of course, could never be taken in. Within minutes, however, the first 'peddlar' appears, and begins to charm his way into spending the night in the attic. Before long, a second 'peddlar' has worked his way into the attic and off they go to work!

Will Biedermann befriend them in time to save his home? 
Just what are all those barrels of gasoline doing in the attic? 
Can the ever-alert Fire Department protect the town?

Biedermann and the Firebugs is directed by Cygnet Theatre's artistic director, Sean Murray, and features a stellar cast of Laura Bozanich, Lisel Gorell-Getz, Joshua Harrell, Joshua Everett Johnson, Tim Irving, Jerry Lee, Daren Scott, Kim Strassburger.

Biedermann and the Firebugs runs January 14 through February 12, 2006. Low priced previews begin January 12 and 13..

Performances are at Cygnet Theatre at 6663 El Cajon Blvd. #N on Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm and 7pm. 
Tickets are $26 on Saturdays, $24 on Fridays and Sunday matinees and $22 on Thursdays and Sunday evenings. Plenty of convenient parking is available.
